Mayor's Message

As Mayor, it is my priority to maintain as well as create programs and initiatives that address the issues of community revitalization. It is important to ensure that communities are growing and evolving to meet the needs of the increasingly diverse populations that San Francisco has come to enjoy.

Having been a supporter of VVBOOM, through the Neighborhood Marketplace Initiative, I am familiar with the VVBOOM program and its many projects and events. I have seen the improvements and impacts that Neighborhood Marketplace Initiative has had on the Visitacion Valley neighborhood, and believe that the Leland/Bayshore Corridor can become the bustling and vibrant commercial district it once was.

Investing time in revitalizing the Leland/Bayshore Corridor will have countless and valuable impacts in the Visitacion Valley Community and on SanFrancisco as a whole. I hope that you will join me in supporting VVBOOM and the NMI Program in revitalizing the Leland/Bayshore Commercial Corridor.

Congratulations to VVBOOM’s on its many successes and accomplishments.

Sincerely,

The Honorable Gavin Newsom.
